Caring for persons suffering from Dementia is our main concern!
The construction of a new facility – Dementia centre within the Special Hospital for Psychiatric Diseases „Dr Slavoljub Bakalović“ Vršac ensures capacity strenghtening as well as raising the level of quality of patient treatmet, while the main Dementia risk factors in the border are will be identified through the research the project team is implemeting. Also, our goal is to improve individual skillsets, expertise and knowledge of our health workers and to reduce stigmatization and risk of social disconnection of patients suffering from Dementia.
Our project: „Healthy aging and Dementia – Better life“, eMS code RORS-241 is being implemented through Interreg-IPA Cross-border Cooperation Romania - Serbia Programme during the course of 24 months – starting from May 2019 up until May 2021. Two partner institutions jointly implement this project: The Special Hospital for Psychiatric Diseases „Dr Slavoljub Bakalović“ Vršac and The County Hospital for Urgent Medicine from Resita. Overall project budget is 1.175.580,00 EUR, out of which the EU contributes 999.243,00 EUR.
